Our Latest Cruise

Last January, while on our 1st ever cruise, Joe played a poker tournament & won 1st place. The prize: 7-day cruise to San Juan, St. Thomas & St. Maarten & entrance into another, much bigger poker tourney on that boat! So, we just got back from that cruise (that he won) & it was AMAZING!!! My good friend Christina also came along with her friend Melody & we all had a blast!! The weather was pretty rocky the first 2 days, from Miami to Puerto Rico, but once we got to PR the weather couldn't have been any better (& Joe could finally stop feeling sea sick!). We only got to see San Juan at night, but we did get to see its beautifully architected buildings. We also got a taste of how modest Carribean people are -- at dinner we were both asked to cover up our legs (we wearing really nice shorts) with long sarongs!! It was kind of embarrassing! St. Thomas had one of the most beautiful beaches I had ever seen! I'd really like to check out more of the island though - being on a cruise, we only had several hours to explore. St. Maarten was by far my favorite -- the people were so nice, TONS of shopping & great food. Joe has already been looking up real estate there :) I can't even describe in words the beauty of this island!! Joe did well in the poker tourney - he came in 28th of about 234 people & there were some pretty hard core players there! We both can't wait for our next cruise!

For those that were worried about Shannon breaking a bone while skiing, I would like to say thank you for your concern. For those that are unaware of Shannon's skiing abilities, I managed to get lucky enough to shoot a video of her in action. Don't blink or you might miss her flying by!

Christmas in Lake Tahoe 2008

We are back from our annual Christmas in Tahoe trip!! We had a great time, but really didn't get a chance to take many pics! Tahoe was absolutely beautiful - snow EVERYWHERE!! On Christmas day, we couldn't even see more than 50 yards, the snow was coming down so hard!! Luckily, the next two days were sunny & perfect for playing around on the mountain!
